On the Big Island of Hawaii you can: swim, snorkel, sunbathe, snowski, parasail, hike in rainforests, kayak, paddle a Hawaiian canoe, go whale watching, surf, go boogie boarding, scuba diving, fine dining, sail, go big game fishing, hunting, bird watching, take pictures, go in a submarine to see coral reefs, visit historical Hawaiian sites, take bus tours, boat tours, helicopter tours, hiking tours, sailboat tours, and mountain bike tours, go to a luau, learn how to hula and weave lauhala, get a tan and relax!
Hilton Waikoloa Village
Just 18 miles from the Kona International Airport lies the most breathtaking village resort. Hilton Waikoloa Village is located within the Waikoloa Beach Resort area on the southern Kohala Coast on Hawaii's Big Island. All our time was spent in this magnificent oasis. There you will find 62 acres of sunny, oceanfront resort; three freshwater pools: two with waterfalls and waterslides; 4-acre swimming and snorkeling lagoon; nine restaurants and eight lounges; sports club and spa; two championship golf courses; seaside putting course; eight tennis courts; wedding pavilion; Zen garden; programs for children; and my personal favorite the Dolphin Quest Learning Lagoon. Our stay here was truly spectacular. I would recommend that everyone stay at this gorgeous resort! Everything was wonderful - the service, the food, the accommodations - just perfect!
Restaurants - Everyone likes a great place to eat!
Too many great ones to mention, but here are a few that I really enjoyed in Kona. Lulu's Restaurant and Nightclub: It offers oceanfront dining, sunset dinners, and great dancing! Oodles of Noodles: This is a great place for casual type dining. The food was wonderful and very affordable. Parker Ranch Grill: in Kamuela, Hawaii. Here we enjoyed the best steaks ever. Great food!
